As we approach the 2012 boating season, we begin our fifth year in business. We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to our valued customers who continue to be our best source of advertising. This year's Marine Fabricators Convention will be held in New Orleans, Louisiana where we have submitted five projects for award consideration. In the four years Bennett Custom Canvas has been members of the MFA (Marine Fabricators Association), we have won numerous awards in a range of categories; most notably, two consecutive awards for 'top job' in 2009 and 2010.

This was our first foray into automotive projects but fortunately all the concepts of patterning and building canvas for marine applications are easily transferable. The client wanted a waterproof fabric for the top but he wanted the look and feel of the top to be as organic as possible. We found that Sunbrella Supreme was the best choice for this--offering a soft hand without compromising weather resistance. Strataglass window vinyl offered the best durability and clarity for the window in the back and door panels.
